Low Binding Microtubes CLEARLock CLEARLine®

CLEARLock® CLEARLine® Low Binding Microtubes are designed for laboratories that need reliable recovery of valuable biological samples, especially when working with proteins, DNA, RNA or other nucleic acids at low concentrations.

Sample loss caused by binding to tube surfaces can affect the accuracy and reproducibility of sensitive workflows. Biosigma Low Binding microtubes help minimize this risk by reducing interactions between analytes and the tube wall, supporting better recovery during handling, centrifugation, preparation and storage.

The range includes Protein Low Binding microtubes for biochemistry applications and DNA Low Binding microtubes for molecular biology workflows such as nucleic acid amplification and PCR. Made from medical-grade polypropylene, the tubes feature a secure CLEARLock® cap, excellent transparency, graduated markings and a writing area for easy identification.

Each batch is certified free from human DNA, DNase, RNase, ATP, endotoxins and PCR inhibitors, making these low binding microcentrifuge tubes suitable for demanding laboratory applications where sample integrity is essential.

CLEARLock® CLEARLine® Low Binding Microtubes are available in two dedicated versions: Protein Low Binding for protein recovery and DNA Low Binding for nucleic acid recovery.
Both versions are designed to reduce sample loss during handling and storage, especially when working with low-concentration samples.

Protein recovery performance
Protein Low Binding CLEARLock® CLEARLine® Microtubes were tested against low binding and standard microtubes from other suppliers.

Test procedure:

•  Tubes were filled with an aqueous BSA solution and human protein extracts at a concentration of 40 ng/ml, then stored at 4°C for 24 hours.
•  After incubation, proteins were extracted and quantified using the Bradford assay.
•  Three independent experiments were performed.
•  Results from the independent experiments showed an average recovery greater than 20% compared to standard tubes

DNA recovery performance
DNA Low Binding CLEARLock® CLEARLine® Microtubes were tested against low binding and standard microtubes from other suppliers.

Test procedure:

• Tubes were filled with 3.5 ng/µl and 0.35 ng/µl Human Nuclear DNA and stored at -80°C for 24 hours.
• After incubation, 5 and 10 µl of DNA solution were amplified by PCR (35 and 40 cycles). Band intensities were calculated with ImageJ and normalized against Biosigma microtube amplified products.
• Three independent experiments were performed.
•  Results from the independent experiments showed an average recovery greater than 20% compared to standard tubes.
