The range includes SECURDROP, a single-use blood bag segment piercing device for transferring blood without direct contact, and DIFF-SAFE Drop Slide System, a hematological smear dispenser designed to pierce vacuum tube stoppers and deposit an ideal blood drop for manual smear preparation.
Securdrop in PVC segment sampling:
CE marked single-use device used to pierce blood bag segments and transfer the blood contained in the segment into a tube for subsequent testing. The internal needle pierces the segment, allowing blood transfer while helping prevent direct contact between the operator, the surrounding environment and the biological material. This makes SECURDROP a practical solution for standardized blood segment sampling in blood bank workflows.
With ribbed edges to allow easy handling with gloved hands, it fits into 10 and 12 ml tube sizes.
Drop slide system:
IVD hematological smear dispenser designed to eliminate the need to remove the stopper from a blood tube when preparing a manual blood smear. The device pierces the rubber stopper of compatible vacuum tubes and releases a controlled blood drop onto the slide. By avoiding tube opening, it helps reduce exposure to blood samples and airborne pathogens in hematology laboratories.
Together, SECURDROP and DIFF-SAFE support safer sample handling, improved workflow efficiency and more controlled blood transfer or smear preparation procedures for qualified laboratory professionals.
