Biopsy cassettes

Embedding and biopsy cassettes made of polyoxymethylene (POM), resistant to decalcifying agents, histological solutions, acids, alkalis and solvents used in pathology laboratories.

Standard biopsy cassettes feature a removable lid and an innovative closure system designed to prevent accidental opening and consequent specimen loss during processing.
An inward-facing front hook helps keep the cassette closed when containing larger specimens, while special ribs on the lid secure the two rear hooks in their slots. The smooth-edged opening tab allows convenient opening by the operator.

Pre-stacked biopsy cassettes are arranged in rows of 40 and held together by an easy-to-remove tape, simplifying their insertion into the cassette printer magazine.
Lids are supplied separately. Different colours are available to support faster specimen classification.

Standard biopsy cassettes

• Cassette bodies: 40 per strip, 10 strips per box and 5 boxes per carton.
• Lids: 1,000 per box and 2 boxes per carton.
• Total quantity: 2,000 cassette bodies and 2,000 lids per carton.
• Shelf life: 5 years.
